College-bound members are eligible to apply for one of ten $1,000 essay-based scholarships; one $1,000 video-based scholarship; and one $1,000 photo-based scholarship. And, yes, you may apply in all three categories! Har-co Credit Union, the Credit Union Foundation MD/DC, and its generous supporters cooperate to make this scholarship program possible.

Every spring, the Aberdeen Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated awards the Robert W. Brashears Memorial scholarship to deserving high school seniors as they begin their college journey. The scholarship is payable to the student, in one lump sum, upon verification of enrollment as a full-time student at an accredited college or university. The Meadowvale Elementary School PTA is offering a scholarship application opportunity to 2023 seniors who previously attended Meadowvale Elementary School. Two winners will be selected from applications received, with each winner being awarded $500.00 toward their higher education expenses.
